10 Secret Fast Food Menu Items

Do you know all the secret items on the menus of your favorite eating establishments? Think again! From the Burger King ‘Suicide Burger‘ to the 1,370 calorie Chipotle burrito, I bring you 10 secret fast food menu items.

10. Subway

Should I fix you some secret sandwiches? How about the delicious Pizza Sub? It briefly appeared on the main Subway menu in 2012 and then disappeared from advertising boards. Well, if you ask nicely and the sandwich technician is in the know, he’ll make you two Pepperoni Toasties stacked on top of each other.

If this isn’t enough meat for your liking, opt for ‘The Meat Feast‘, the perfect sub to satisfy your carnivorous hunger. The server will throw all of their deli meats into a single sub and top it off with any sauces or cheeses that you want, all for less than $10!

While you’re at it, why not ask for the sub ‘Old Cut‘ style. This refers to the style that Subway used to use for cutting their loaves, prior to making a sandwich. Basically, all of the fluffy bread inside the sub is dug out, leaving a hollow shell for your fillings. Genius.

9. McDonald’s

Why have one beef patty when you can have eight? That’s right, eight! The Monster Mac is the most calorific item on the McDonald’s secret menu, weighing in at an eye-watering 1,390 calories.

If you’re on the lookout for something less hefty with a very affordable price tag, ask for a McGangBang. This special addition to the menu combines two of the best dollar menu items – the McDouble and a McChicken… tasty!

Wash it down with a very special milkshake, the Neapolitan, a blend of the classic strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate flavors.

8. Burger King

Taking pride of place on the Burger King secret menu is the ‘Suicide Burger‘. It’s essentially BK’s answer to the McDonald’s ‘Monster’, with four burger patties, four slices of cheese, bacon and special sauce. Oh and twice the amount of saturated fat advised for a 2,500 calorie-a-day intake.

There’s also a little something special for vegetarians on the menu too, the secret ‘veggie whopper‘ gives an animal-friendly alternative to the BK favorite with a veggie patty instead of beef.

7. Five Guys

Ain’t no patty like a Five Guys patty. Speaking of which, you should probably head down to your local FG chain and try out a ‘patty melt‘. Picture a cheeseburger, which is then grilled with the bun topped with cheese and voila! A tasty addition to the secret menu that’ll only set you back about $5.

If that doesn’t quite fulfill your cheese addiction, try out Five Guy’s very special cheese french fries. If you’re lucky they’ll add the mountain of cheese on top for free, or charge an extra 50 cents.

6. Taco Bell

If Tex-Mex is more your thing, Taco Bell has a whole host of items on their secret menu including ‘The Enchirito‘, an Enchilada stuffed with beef, beans, cheese, topped with diced onions and smothered in their red sauce. It may not look that appetizing, but for just $1.99 it’s a bargain!

There’s something for Marvel fans too in the form of the ‘The Incredible Hulk‘, which takes the traditional beef five-layered burrito and replaces the nacho cheese with guacamole for a somewhat greener version.

Elsewhere on the menu, there’s the ‘Double Grilled Quesadilla‘ for those of you who want their chicken or steak quesadilla at its optimal crispness. All you have to do is request that it be grilled for twice as long.

5. In-N-Out

The In-N-Out secret menu isn’t actually secret since they put up a not-so-secret menu on their website. But there are a few items that don’t feature on this list, including ‘Roadkill Fries‘, which are basically fries topped with cheese, spread, and grilled onions.

There’s also a ‘Flying Dutchman‘, a cheese sandwich with beef patties instead of bread.

If you feel daring and don’t mind getting a weird look if the server doesn’t know what you’re talking about, ask for a ‘Doggy Style‘ burger, a protein-style grilled cheese with fries inside the sandwich.

Oh and just like McDonald’s, In-N-Out will also serve you the Neapolitan milkshake. But if that doesn’t quite quench your thirst get Lemon-up, the perfect blend of Lemonade and 7-Up.

4. Shake Shack

Peanut butter lovers rejoice! Shake Shack has the perfect burger for you that combines peanut butter and bacon. What more could you want? In fact, this creation was so good that they had it on the regular menu, but only for a weekend.

Apparently, they were worried about peanut allergy cross-contamination to other peoples’ orders when drizzling the peanut butter sauce over the burgers.

So now this beautiful creation resides on the secret menu! If the server is a little confused, ask for a side of peanut butter spread when you order a ShackBurger with added bacon – and add it yourself! It’s very simple.

3. Chipotle

This Mexican establishment has a whole host of unique meals that you won’t find on the standard menu, including the monstrous ‘Chipotle Quesarito‘. Weighing in at a whopping 1,370 calories, it is a thing of calorific wonder.

Essentially it’s just like a regular burrito, except that the tortilla is basically a cheese quesadilla, which makes your burrito extra gooey.

But, if the Quesarito seems a little excessive, why not try its ‘diet friendly’ twin, the Burritodilla, a quesadilla filled with about half the contents of a burrito. It gives you the same flavors as the first, just much less aggressively.

2. KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)

Do you remember when KFC was in the news for a while with its special ‘Double Down‘ burger? For those of you who don’t, it’s bacon, two different kinds of melted cheese, and the Colonel’s secret sauce pinched in between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets.

Well, now you can go one step further by trying out the KFC Triple Down featured on the Colonel’s secret menu. It’s three pieces of their famous fried chicken, bacon & cheese, and no bun.

If you like your buns, though, there’s something for you too. ‘The Ultimate Zinger‘ is a mash-up of the Ultimate Burger with the addition of a Zinger fillet to create a spicy take on the traditional chicken fillet burger.

1. Wendy’s

If you’re heading down to Wendy’s anytime soon, you’ve got to try out some of the secret menu items.

For those who struggle to decide what meaty burger to go for, try out the Barnyard burger, composed of a combination of beef, spicy chicken, and bacon.

Or for something more filling, why not give the ‘Meat Cube‘ a try. It may not sound very appetizing, but that depends on how many burger patties will push you over the edge. Also known as ‘The Grand Slam‘, it’s a whole pound of patties – that’s four beef patties – and all the fixins on a soft Wendy’s bun!
